In the meantime Tír Na gCasta have been busy - out three times in the last couple of weeks and no-one told us to be quiet! Cork's first skateboard competition went ahead last Sunday outside the Opera House and was a great success, next one tentatively scheduled for last weekend in Fuebuary. We'll sort out photos in the meantime.

...2nd June 04... Party on in Leitrim this weekend, friends of ours - here's the details: Party INFO: A fund raising session for the beautiful Emma who is getting better by the day.
Location: Lovely Leitrim, about 20KM from Carrick-on-Shannon. Ring for exact location on Sunday.
Date of Party: Sunday June 6th.
There is an outdoor activity center where many will be meeting early Sunday morning for fun and frolics. Canoe-ing, Swimming, Windsurfing etc, etcetera. This is at the Drumshambo Outdoor Pursuits Center, Charge for rent of equipment qill be €10, followed by an afternoon BBQ at the center by the lake, Drumshambo. 2 sessions for activities are on, the first at 10am and then the second at 12am, BBQ starts at 2p.m. followed by a party which WILL last all night! ...24th March 04... Tech FM is now broadcasting on 94.8FM and it won't change again! Signal is much better so tume in from 10-12pm on Thursday nights! Don't forget we've got another dirty gig in Nancy Spains again this Saturday so come with bells on. ...7th March 04... Tír Na gCasta confirmed gig in Nancy Spains again Saturday 27th of March. The poitín and 'special' cakes went down a treat the last time so more of that... We managed to destroy two sets of speakers that night so as usual all profit will be going towards new speakers. Live visuals again with the mullet militia out front and tekno/hardcore out back. €5 in, a bargain at half the price! We're also waiting on word of a Paddy's day bash there so stay tuned.

The Tír Na gCasta slot on Tech FM 102.1 has changed to Thursday nights 10-12pm.

...11th December 03... Tech FM 102.1 slot has moved from Tuesdays to Wednesdays 5-8pm. Mick Reilly is also confirmed for the Christmas gig in on the 20th. And by the time you read this we should have added some photos of this years peace march in Dublin and some more Summer Solstice photos to the gallery.

...05th December 03... The Tír Na gCasta Christmas gig is coming up on Saturday December 20th upstairs in Nancy Spains on Barrack Street. There will be live music, Tír Na gCasta DJs, more acts to be confirmed and even more twisted visuals. Doors open at 8, admission is five euro.

TNgC DJs will also being playing a regular slot on Cork's Tech FM 102.1 Tuesdays from 5-8 pm.

...03rd December 03... Apologies to everyone who went to de CAT club on Sunday night - the bar staff walked out on Saturday and refused to work with us. Ever. On the bright side the place is being torn down in the next few months so we're all looking forward to seeing that.
A new 25 minute live mix and one original choon has been added to the music section.

...25th November 03... There will be two more gigs in the CAT Club this weekend on Saturday & Sunday starting at 6pm with bands, DJs, Tony and his dog. Saturday finishes at 1 and Sunday at 11.30ish depending on how generous the staff are feeling. Damage is 7 quid Saturday and 5 Sunday. Three rooms, visuals, with open mike and decks at the gay bar upstairs. Check out gallery for a couple of pics of the last gig. Sorry bout de short notice but we're useless fuckers. We've also got some very scary video footage of the last gig but I think it's better for everyone if we destroy it.

Anti-war blockade planned for Shannon Airport, 6 December The Irish Anti-War Movement (IAWM) is planning to step up its protests against the refuelling of US warplanes at Shannon airport. A demonstration due to take place on Saturday, December 6th, will now take the form of a mass blockade aimed at disrupting normal business at the airport. Demonstrators will gather at 2pm in the town centre before marching to the airport terminal to participate in the blockade
